Cinchora ("the Service") is operated by Cinchora Technologies LLC, a New York limited liability company ("Cinchora Technologies," "we," "us," "our"). Throughout the Service — including at checkout and on your card statement — we go by "Cinchora"; your agreement is with Cinchora Technologies LLC.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data and is part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Cinchora.
Cinchora matches your résumé against job postings gathered from company career boards and job feeds, and uses artificial intelligence to estimate how well each posting fits your experience. Understand what that means:
You need an account (email and password) to use the Service. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, and use one account per person. During periods when signups are invite-only, an invite code is required.
Allowances and features are described at cinchora.app and may evolve; we will not materially reduce what a paid plan includes during a period you have already paid for.
5.1 Payment processor. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Prices are in U.S. dollars; sales tax is added where the law requires.
5.2 Subscriptions auto-renew. Pro is a subscription (monthly or annual). It renews automatically at the end of each period and your payment method is charged at renewal, until you cancel.
5.3 Founding-member pricing. If you subscribed at founding-member pricing, that rate is locked for as long as your subscription remains continuously active. If you cancel and later resubscribe, the then-current price applies.
5.4 Cancellation and refunds. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Plans & billing (via the Stripe billing portal). Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep Pro access through the end of the period you already paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable.
5.5 Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next renewal (and never override §5.3).
You retain all rights to what you upload — your résumé, profile details, and preferences ("Your Content"). You grant Cinchora Technologies LLC a limited license to store and process Your Content solely to operate the Service for you — for example, extracting a profile from your résumé and scoring postings against it, including via the AI providers described in the Privacy Policy.
We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use your résumé or profile to target advertising. The Privacy Policy governs all handling of personal data; where these Terms and it overlap on data topics, the Privacy Policy controls.
Deleting your account (Settings → Account) is self-serve, password-confirmed, and irreversible: it cancels any active subscription and erases your profile, résumé data, saved and applied jobs, history, and sessions from our systems.
Don't:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
The Service — its software, design, branding, and content we create — belongs to Cinchora Technologies LLC or its licensors. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service; they transfer no ownership. Job postings remain the property of their respective employers or sources.
Cinchora is under active development. Features may change, be added, or be retired, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable (maintenance, outages, or factors outside our control, including third-party job sources and AI providers). We are not liable for unavailability, but §4's promise about paid periods still applies.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT MATCH SCORES ARE ACCURATE, THAT POSTINGS ARE CURRENT OR GENUINE, OR THAT USE OF THE SERVICE WILL LEAD TO ANY EMPLOYMENT OUTCOME. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) CINCHORA TECHNOLOGIES LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, OPPORTUNITIES (INCLUDING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES), OR DATA; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR $100. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY WHERE THE LAW FORBIDS LIMITING THEM.
If a third party brings a claim against Cinchora Technologies LLC arising from Your Content or your violation of these Terms or the law, you agree to indemnify us for the resulting losses and reasonable costs.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section prevents either party from using small-claims court where eligible, and nothing overrides consumer protections you are entitled to under the law of the place you live.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will give notice (by email or in the Service) before they take effect; continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
